If you have lodged an application with us and are seeking information regarding the progress of that application, we prefer that you contact us by email or fax.

We recommend that clients visit the departments main website for information. On the website there are tools to assist you in finding the right visa or citizenship service, the Visa Wizard and the Citizenship Wizard. By answering a few simple questions, the wizards will return the most appropriate visa or citizenship options and the relevant details on how to apply.

If you are not able to obtain assistance you need via the above websites, you can call the Europe Service Centre on (+34) 91 114 7390. The Europe Service Centre is a multi-lingual client contact centre which provides information, advice, and application forms for Autralian visas and citizenship in the following languages: English, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, German, French, Croatian, Polish and Hungarian. Telephone Hours are from 09.00 am to 04.00 pm, London time, Monday to Friday (except all UK and some Australian public holidays).

Client counter hours

9.30 am to 12.30 pm Monday to Friday (application lodgement by appointment only)

Clients who would like to lodge a visa or citizenship application in person at the Australian Embassy in Madrid are required to have an appointment.

To make an appointment, please telephone the Europe Service Centre (+34) 91 123 39 36 between 09.00 am and 04.00 pm Monday to Friday London time (except all UK and some Australian public holidays).
